Chicago, IL – The Online & On-Campus Italian School in Chicago hosted its annual Community Festa this past weekend, integrating both in-person and virtual attendance to celebrate Italian heritage with students, families, and local residents.
The event featured live musical performances of traditional Italian folk songs, cooking demonstrations of regional dishes such as arancini and panna cotta, and children’s workshops including crafting Venetian masks and learning simple Italian phrases. A virtual stream allowed remote participants to join in holiday traditions and music.
Aside from entertainment, the school held information sessions about its hybrid curriculum—balancing online lessons with on-campus immersive sessions—and scholarship opportunities to ensure access and inclusion. School leaders emphasized that this fest strengthens bonds between the campus and wider community, offering an accessible gateway to Italian culture for all.
